We are very fortunate to live in a community with a small town feel and big city amenities, including family-friendly activities at the public library. In addition to their summer reading program, Joshua Public Library hosts special events like today’s petting zoo. Kamden and I went this morning anticipating story time and seeing a few animals, but we were both surprised to see one of Joshua’s fire trucks and two police vehicles on display too. The men and women who serve as first responders in Joshua are top-notch and I’m proud to say I know several of them personally. We want to give a big THANK YOU to the library for hosting this fun experience and we’ll definitely be back next week when Ronald McDonald visits!
For the record, Kamden dressed himself this morning. He rarely leaves the house without his Superman hat and Batman sunglasses, but today he insisted upon wearing his swim shoes and long-sleeved John Deere tractor shirt, despite my persistent reminders that we live in Texas and it’s 471 degrees in the shade. Whatever kid!

Oh my stars! Mini Man is stylin’ and profilin’ for sure! I cannot believe how grown he looks with these critters. Kirsten will die when she realizes she missed out!
